To use studies from other charts in a simple alert in Sierra Chart, you can follow these steps:
1. Open the chart that contains the study you want to use in the alert.
2. Add the study to the chart and configure it with the desired settings.
3. Set up the alert condition formula for the study. This can be done in the Study Settings window for the study. Enter the formula in the Condition text box on the Alerts tab.
4. Save the study as part of a Study Collection if you want to apply it to other charts later.
To apply the alert condition formula to other charts:
1. Open the chart where you want to apply the alert condition formula.
2. Apply the Study Collection that contains the study with the alert condition formula. This can be done by selecting the Study Collection from the Study Collections menu.
3. The alert condition formula from the study in the Study Collection will be applied to the chart, and the alert will trigger based on the conditions specified in the formula.
